Gary MacDougal Story

Story regarding how he was brought out of his shell at HBS and how this transformation cascaded into his personal achievements. At first shy with his classmates and in the classroom, Prof. Theodore Levitt drew him out of his reserve. After he exceeded his own expectations when called on in class, it dawned on him that he could measure up to the bar of HBS excellence and he surpassed it by earning academic honors. Once he concluded his first career as a chief executive officer, he commenced a second career in government service during which he focused on welfare reform. To current and prospective students, he recommends always planning for the next chapter in their lives.
