Luis Plata Story
Story regarding how he has applied his HBS education to government service in his home country of Colombia and the betterment of the nation. A speech by the independent presidential candidate Álvaro Uribe Vélez inspired him to volunteer for his campaign. After winning the election, he was named CEO of Proexport, promoting tourism, exports, and investment, and later he was appointed Minister of Trade, Industry, and Tourism. He strives to secure "dignified lives" for all Colombians through economic development.
